Sorry, title too obscure?
Today I went to change my student visa (which expires in 3 days time) into a tourist’s and was anticipating spending the day with lazy, bitter and incompetent bureaucrats. Fortunately, by the end of the day, the lazy, bitter, incompetent bureaucrat tally was only 1 out of 5.
After a needless half hour wait (courtesy of a certain Mr L. B. C. Bureaucrat), my number came up and I went to meet a friendly woman who, in a span of 5 minutes, looked everything over and processed my application.
When she was done, I expected her to tell me to come back in a few days to collect my new visa. So, when she printed and stuck my new visa label onto my passport right then and there, I wanted to ask her how she felt about polygamy – you see, I’d already given my heart an hour earlier to the proficient bank teller who floored me with his expert processing of my application for a duplicate bank statement.
Bureaucratic competence is sexy.

Oh, so you have got your tourist visa done? Well done! One less thing to do. Now please sort out your sister’s living arrangements!
