If you haven’t already heard, Coraline is a book by Neil Gaiman that’s been turned into a 3-D stopmotion film. And I can’t wait!! You can find the trailer here.

What’s even more exciting is the way they are going about publicising the movie. They anonymously mailed 50 boxes off to various blog owners in the hopes that each one of them will write about it on their blogs. As far as my lazy research tells me, about 25 boxes have been written about online so far. Animation Archive got one and took it upon themselves to link all the other boxes (the comments section reveals 3-4 more). Neil Gaiman writes on his blog (yes I subscribe to it) that his favourite box so far is this one which belongs to Knitty Blog. And despite being much too lazy to go visiting the other 25 blogs, it does seem rather likely that it’s my favourite too!
The one thing that’s really getting to me is that I can’t seem to find the location on the website to type in all the secret passwords to watch the making-of films. While I do know that they’re all already up on youtube, I REALLY JUST NEED TO FIND IT!!!
And also.. there are keys.

Coraline looks pretty good; it’s amazing how many big name actors they get for these animated flicks
