In chronologically experienced order:
They were playing Band of Horses (admittedly not the greatest band but 45045238x better than Chinese New Year music and most other shop music)
They have nice shoes
The sales woman offered me a pair of sockettes to try on with my shoes and brought out a new pair fresh from its packet.
There was a 60% discount on my shoes (discounts like that are rarely ever found in Singapore!!)
When I got home…
I found that the receipt had been slotted into a small purple envelope that had been closed with a sticker in the shape of a wax seal with the On Pedder logo.
I opened the shoe box to find the pair of sockettes which the store lady had brought out for me placed neatly atop my shoes.

how much did the shoes cost?
60% off on a $400 pair of shoes is still pretty unaffordable. =) and that’ll explain the free sockettes as well.
